TAIGA TAKAHASHI LOT.303 COVERALL JACKET CHARCOAL

1910년경 미국에서 제작된 커버올을 바탕으로 T.T의 커버올 재킷이 탄생했습니다. 대량생산이 본격화된 1920년대에는 직선적인 봉제와 평면적인 패턴 등, 중노동을 견디기 위한 기능성이 강조되었으며 옷이라기보다는 하나의 ‘도구’에 가까운 존재였습니다. 이 재킷 역시 당시의 사양을 계승하면서도 겨드랑이 부분의 뭉침을 개선하기 위해 어깨 경사를 추가하는 등 현대적으로 재구성했습니다. 원단은 코튼과 린넨을 고밀도로 직조한 백 웨폰(Back Weapon) 원단을 사용했습니다. 위사에는 헴프사를 사용해 특유의 시원한 촉감을 더했고, 경사에는 코튼 공방사를 사용해 부드러우면서도 표정이 풍부한 질감을 완성했습니다. 특주 각인이 들어간 버튼과 백 파츠에는 철 소재를 사용했습니다. CHARCOAL 컬러는 훈연된 듯한 도금 가공을 적용해 시간이 흐른 듯한 분위기를 표현했습니다. 철 소재 부속을 사용했기 때문에 사용과 시간의 경과에 따라 녹이나 변색이 발생할 수 있습니다.

1910年頃のアメリカ製カバーオールをもとに、T.Tのカバーオールジャケットは生まれた。大量生産が進んだ1920年代には、直線的な縫製や平面的なパターンなど、重労働に耐えるための機能性が重視され、衣服というよりも“道具”として存在していた。このジャケットも当時の仕様を継承しつつ、脇下のたまりを改善するために肩傾斜を加えるなど再構築を施している。生地には綿と麻を高密度に織り上げたバックウェポンを使用。緯糸にヘンプ糸を取り入れることでヘンプ特有の清涼感を持たせつつ、経糸には綿の空紡糸を用いることで、しなやかで表情豊かな風合いに仕上げている。特注の刻印入りボタンとバックパーツには鉄素材を採用。CHARCOALは燻したようなメッキ加工を施したものを使用し、時間の経過を表現している。鉄素材の付属品を使用しているため、時間経過により錆びや劣化がおこります。

Based on an American coverall from around 1910, the T.T coverall jacket was created. As mass production expanded in the 1920s, garments emphasized functionality—such as straight stitching and flat pattern construction—to withstand heavy labor, existing almost as “tools” rather than clothing. While inheriting these original specifications, the jacket has been reconstructed with subtle updates, including an added shoulder slope to reduce excess fabric under the arms. The fabric is a high-density back-weapon cloth woven from cotton and linen. Hemp yarn is used in the weft to provide the characteristic cool touch of hemp, while cotton open-end yarn is used in the warp to create a supple texture with rich surface character. Custom engraved buttons and back parts are made from iron. The CHARCOAL version uses a smoked-style plating finish to evoke the passage of time. Because iron hardware is used, rusting or natural aging may occur over time.
