TAIGA TAKAHASHI LOT.028 GARRISON BELT BROWN

타카하시의 수집품에 있던 North & Judd사의 1940년대 버클을 바탕으로 전체적인 밸런스를 다시 설계해 제작한 벨트입니다. North & Judd사는 원래 마구(馬具)를 제작하던 회사였지만, 경제의 발전과 함께 다양한 액세서리 파츠를 생산하기 시작했습니다. ‘Garrison’은 수비대를 의미하며, 군대나 경찰 등이 착용하던 벨트에서 유래해 Garrison Belt라고 불립니다. BLACK 컬러는 차심(茶芯) 가공된 소가죽을 사용하여 사용할수록 표면이 닳으며 갈색이 드러나는 에이징을 즐길 수 있습니다. BROWN 컬러는 식물성 탄닌으로 무두질한 가죽을 사용하여 사용할수록 가죽이 몸에 맞게 길들여지고 색감과 윤기가 점점 깊어집니다.

髙橋の蒐集物にあったNorth & Judd社の1940年代のバックルをベースに、全体のバランスを再設計して製作したベルトです。North & Judd社はもともと馬具を製造していた会社ですが、経済の発展とともに様々なアクセサリーパーツを手がけるようになりました。「Garrison」とは守備隊を意味し、軍隊や警察などが着用していたことからGarrison Beltと呼ばれています。BLACKは茶芯加工を施した牛革を使用しており、使い込むほどに表面が擦れて下地の茶色が現れ、経年変化を楽しむことができます。BROWNは植物由来のタンニンで鞣した革を使用しており、使うほどに革が馴染み、色味と艶が深まっていきます。

This belt is based on a 1940s buckle from North & Judd found in Takahashi’s personal collection, with the overall balance carefully redesigned. North & Judd originally produced horse tack, but as the economy developed the company began manufacturing various accessory hardware parts. “Garrison” refers to a military guard unit, and the belt came to be known as a Garrison Belt because it was worn by military personnel and police. The BLACK version uses brown-core leather, allowing the brown base color to gradually appear as the belt ages and develops character through wear. The BROWN version uses vegetable-tanned leather, which softens with use while the color deepens and a natural sheen gradually emerges over time.
