1950년대 영국 왕립공군(Royal Air Force, RAF)이 극한의 추위에 대응하기 위해 사용했던 Cold Weather Parka를 모티브로 제작한 다운 파카. 독특한 구조와 희소성으로 빈티지 밀리터리 컬렉터들 사이에서도 잘 알려진 모델을 기반으로, 오리지널의 기능적인 디테일과 실루엣을 HERILL 특유의 소재 선택과 정제된 디자인을 통해 현대적으로 재해석했습니다.

여유로운 품과 어깨선을 바탕으로 풍부한 볼륨을 형성하면서도, 전체적으로 균형 잡힌 실루엣을 완성했습니다. 허리 부분에는 오리지널 디자인의 특징적인 벨트를 배치해 실루엣을 조절할 수 있도록 했으며, 벨트를 자연스럽게 늘어뜨렸을 때와 허리를 조였을 때 서로 다른 형태를 연출할 수 있습니다. 넉넉한 내부 공간으로 두꺼운 니트나 다양한 이너웨어와의 레이어링에도 적합합니다.

전면에는 견고한 WALDES 지퍼와 버튼을 함께 사용하는 이중 여밈 구조를 적용했으며, 지퍼에는 두꺼운 코튼 소재의 풀러를 더해 조작이 편리하도록 설계했습니다. 전면의 세 개 포켓과 내부 포켓은 충분한 수납공간을 제공하며, 소매 안쪽에는 리브 커프스를 배치해 찬 바람의 유입을 줄였습니다.

겉감에는 나일론 55%와 코튼 45%를 초고밀도로 직조한 원단을 사용했습니다. 코튼 특유의 자연스러운 질감과 나일론의 적당한 탄력, 은은한 광택이 조화를 이루며, 밀리터리 원단 특유의 투박한 분위기를 유지하면서도 한층 정돈된 표면감을 보여줍니다. 발수성을 갖춘 원단으로 일상적인 환경에서의 활용도를 높였으며, 후드에는 울 혼방 소재를 별도로 사용해 소재 간의 미묘한 대비를 더했습니다.

충전재에는 다운 90%와 페더 10%를 사용해 풍부한 볼륨과 뛰어난 보온성을 확보하면서도 가벼운 착용감을 유지했습니다. 극한지용 방한복에서 출발한 역사적인 디자인에 HERILL의 섬세한 소재 해석과 현대적인 균형감을 더한 제품입니다.

ゆとりのある身幅と肩まわりによって豊かなボリュームを持たせながら、全体としてバランスの取れたシルエットに仕上げています。ウエストにはオリジナルの特徴的なベルトを配し、シルエットの調整が可能。ベルトを自然に垂らした状態と、ウエストを絞った状態では異なる表情を楽しめます。身頃には十分なゆとりがあり、厚手のニットなどとのレイヤードにも適しています。

フロントには堅牢なWALDES製ジッパーとボタンによる二重の開閉構造を採用。ジッパーには太めのコットン製引き手を備え、操作性にも配慮しています。フロントの3つのポケットと内ポケットによって十分な収納力を確保し、袖口の内側にはリブカフスを設けることで冷気の侵入を軽減しています。

表地にはナイロン55％、コットン45％を超高密度に織り上げた生地を使用。コットン特有の自然な風合いとナイロンの適度なハリ、控えめな光沢が調和し、ミリタリー素材らしい無骨さを残しながらも、洗練された表情を生み出しています。撥水性も備えており、日常使いにおける実用性にも配慮。フード部分にはウール混紡素材を切り替えて使用し、異なる素材によるさりげないコントラストを加えています。

中綿にはダウン90％、フェザー10％を使用し、豊かなボリュームと高い保温性を備えながら、軽やかな着心地を実現。極寒地用の防寒着という歴史的なデザインを出発点に、HERILLならではの繊細な素材使いと現代的なバランス感覚を加えた一着です。

A down parka inspired by the Cold Weather Parka worn by the British Royal Air Force (RAF) during the 1950s, originally developed for protection in extremely cold environments. Recognized among vintage military collectors for its distinctive construction and rarity, the original design has been reinterpreted through HERILL's considered approach to materials, proportions, and understated refinement.

The relaxed body and generous shoulder construction create a voluminous yet balanced silhouette. A distinctive waist belt, referencing the original military design, allows the shape to be adjusted according to the wearer's preference. Worn loose, it emphasizes the garment's natural volume, while fastening the belt creates a more defined silhouette. The generous proportions also provide ample room for layering over substantial knitwear and other winter garments.

The front features a heavy-duty WALDES zipper combined with a button closure, creating a practical double-front construction. A substantial cotton zipper pull adds functionality, while three exterior pockets and additional interior pockets provide convenient storage. Internal ribbed cuffs help reduce the entry of cold air.

The outer shell is made from an exceptionally densely woven fabric composed of 55% nylon and 45% cotton. The natural texture of cotton is balanced by the subtle structure and restrained sheen of nylon, retaining the rugged character of traditional military fabrics while achieving a more refined appearance. The water-repellent finish enhances everyday practicality, while a separate wool-blend fabric on the hood introduces a subtle contrast in texture.

Filled with 90% down and 10% feathers, the parka provides generous insulation and warmth without excessive weight. Rooted in the functional design of historical extreme-cold-weather clothing, it reflects HERILL's distinctive approach to fabric development and contemporary proportions.
