A down parka based on the CWU-8/P, a cold-weather garment adopted by U.S. Air Force ground crews during the 1970s. Commonly known as the "Rabbit Parka" for its distinctive hood construction, the original has become a relatively rare piece within the vintage military market.

Retaining the generous proportions and functional details of the original CWU-8/P, HERILL reinterprets the design through its refined approach to silhouette and materials. A relaxed body, naturally dropped shoulders, and a length that comfortably covers the hips create an easy fit with a balanced, contemporary shape.

One of its most distinctive features is the protective flap integrated into the hood. Normally folded and secured at the back, it can be brought forward to wrap the face and neck in soft boa fabric, providing additional protection against cold winds. The front features a double closure with a zipper and buttons, while internal ribbed cuffs help retain warmth. Four pockets are lined with soft brushed fabric for added comfort and insulation.

The outer shell is constructed from a densely woven, water-repellent fabric composed of 55% nylon and 45% cotton. Combining the natural texture of cotton with the subtle structure and understated sheen of nylon, the material lends a softer, more refined character to the utilitarian design. The insulation consists of 800-fill-power white duck down, with a composition of 90% down and 10% feathers, providing generous volume and excellent warmth.
